Abuse Reporting
Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

This Abuse Reporting Policy explains how individuals and organisations can report suspected misuse of SPRL Services. It outlines the types of abuse we investigate, how reports are handled, and the actions SPRL may take to protect its customers, platform, and the wider internet community.

Overview

SPRL is committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and trustworthy platform for all customers, partners, developers, and visitors. We actively investigate reports of abuse involving our products and services and take appropriate action where violations of our policies or applicable laws are identified.

This Abuse Reporting Policy explains how suspected abuse can be reported, the information required to assist our investigations, and the process we follow when reviewing reports. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and other applicable SPRL policies.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to all reports relating to the misuse of SPRL products and services, including but not limited to:

  • WhatsApp Business API;
  • Online Forms;
  • Developer APIs;
  • customer accounts, dashboards, and related platform services.

This Policy applies regardless of whether the suspected abuse originates from a free account, paid subscription, enterprise customer, API integration, or other authorised use of SPRL Services.

2. Our Commitment

SPRL takes reports of abuse seriously. Where appropriate, we investigate reported activities promptly and take reasonable action to protect our customers, maintain the integrity of our platform, and support the security of the wider internet ecosystem.

Depending on the nature of the report, SPRL may work with customers, security researchers, hosting providers, domain registrars, internet service providers, payment providers, or competent legal authorities to resolve confirmed abuse.

3. Who Can Report Abuse?

Anyone who reasonably believes that SPRL Services are being misused may submit an abuse report.

Reports may be submitted by:

  • customers and account holders;
  • members of the public;
  • businesses and organisations;
  • security researchers;
  • hosting providers and cloud service providers;
  • domain registrars and registries;
  • internet service providers;
  • government agencies and law enforcement authorities;
  • copyright owners or their authorised representatives.

4. Types of Abuse We Investigate

  • other unlawful or abusive activities involving SPRL products or services.

The examples above are not exhaustive. SPRL reserves the right to investigate any activity that may threaten the security, reliability, reputation, or lawful operation of our platform.

5. How to Report Abuse

If you believe that SPRL Services are being used in violation of our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable laws, you may submit an abuse report through our official reporting page.

Report Abuse: https://insprl.com/trust-and-safety/report-abuse

Please submit one report for each suspected incident wherever possible. Providing complete and accurate information helps us investigate reports more efficiently.

6. Types of Abuse You Can Report

You may submit a report for activities including, but not limited to:

  • phishing or credential harvesting;
  • malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software;
  • spam or unsolicited communications;
  • fraud, impersonation, or deceptive websites;
  • misleading or malicious shortened URLs;
  • copyright or intellectual property infringement;
  • abuse involving QR Codes, Forms, APIs, or communication services;
  • security incidents or suspicious platform activity;
  • any other activity that may violate SPRL policies or applicable laws.

7. Information to Include

To help us investigate your report, please provide as much relevant information as possible.

Depending on the nature of the report, useful information may include:

  • the SPRL shortened URL or affected resource;
  • the destination URL, if known;
  • a detailed description of the suspected abuse;
  • screenshots or supporting evidence;
  • dates and times the activity was observed;
  • your contact information in case additional clarification is required.

Reports containing sufficient information are generally processed more efficiently than reports with incomplete or inaccurate details.

8. What Happens After You Submit a Report?

Once a report is received, SPRL will review the submitted information and determine whether additional investigation is required.

Depending on the circumstances, we may:

  • verify the reported content or activity;
  • request additional information from the reporter;
  • review account activity and related platform records;
  • contact the affected customer where appropriate;
  • take enforcement action where a policy violation is confirmed.

To protect the privacy and security of our customers, SPRL may not disclose the outcome of individual investigations or the specific actions taken against another account.

9. Emergency Situations

If the reported activity involves an immediate threat to life, public safety, child safety, or other urgent criminal activity, you should also contact the appropriate law enforcement or emergency authorities in the relevant jurisdiction.

Submitting a report to SPRL does not replace reporting serious criminal matters to the appropriate government or law enforcement agencies.

10. Investigation Process

Each abuse report is reviewed by SPRL based on the information provided, the nature of the reported activity, and any relevant evidence available during our investigation.

Our investigation may include:

  • reviewing the reported URLs, content, or platform activity;
  • examining account, API, or service usage associated with the report;
  • verifying technical evidence and available system records;
  • requesting additional information from the reporter or affected customer where appropriate;
  • assessing whether the reported activity violates our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable laws.

Each report is assessed individually. The time required to complete an investigation may vary depending on the complexity and severity of the reported activity.

11. Enforcement Actions

Where SPRL determines that a violation has occurred, we may take one or more enforcement actions to protect our customers, platform, and the wider internet community.

Depending on the circumstances, enforcement actions may include:

  • issuing a warning or requesting corrective action;
  • disabling shortened URLs, QR Codes, forms, campaigns, or other affected resources;
  • temporarily restricting specific platform features or services;
  • suspending or terminating customer accounts;
  • revoking or restricting API credentials;
  • blocking access from specific IP addresses, domains, or networks;
  • preserving relevant information where required for legal or regulatory purposes;
  • cooperating with competent authorities where required by applicable law.

SPRL reserves the right to determine the appropriate enforcement action based on the seriousness, frequency, and impact of the violation.

12. False or Malicious Reports

We encourage responsible reporting. Abuse reports should be submitted in good faith and based on a genuine belief that a violation has occurred.

Knowingly submitting false, misleading, fraudulent, or malicious reports may interfere with legitimate investigations and may itself constitute a violation of SPRL policies.

SPRL reserves the right to disregard reports that are intentionally abusive or submitted for the purpose of harassment, retaliation, or disrupting our operations.

13. Cooperation with Authorities

Where required or permitted by applicable law, SPRL may cooperate with law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, internet service providers, hosting providers, domain registrars, payment providers, and other relevant organisations during the investigation of unlawful or harmful activities.

Such cooperation may include preserving relevant records, responding to lawful requests, or taking appropriate action to prevent ongoing abuse.

14. Response Times

SPRL aims to review abuse reports as promptly as reasonably practicable. Response times may vary depending on the severity of the reported activity, the quality of the information provided, and the volume of reports being processed.

Reports involving phishing, malware, active security threats, or other high-risk activities are generally prioritised for review.

While we make reasonable efforts to investigate all valid reports, SPRL does not guarantee a specific investigation or resolution timeframe.

15. Appeals

If you believe that enforcement action has been taken in error, you may request a review by contacting SPRL through our official support channels.

When submitting an appeal, please provide any additional information or evidence that may assist our review. SPRL will evaluate the available information and determine whether the original decision should be upheld, modified, or reversed.

The outcome of an appeal is determined at SPRL's reasonable discretion based on the available evidence, applicable policies, and legal obligations.

16. Privacy and Confidentiality

SPRL handles abuse reports in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws. Information provided as part of an abuse report will be used solely for investigating the reported activity, protecting our platform, complying with legal obligations, and enforcing our policies.

To protect the privacy and security of our customers and reporters, SPRL generally does not disclose investigation details, internal findings, or enforcement actions taken against another individual or organisation, except where required by applicable law.

17. Policy Updates

SPRL may update this Abuse Reporting Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, legal requirements, security practices, or operational procedures.

The latest version of this Policy will always be published on this page together with the last updated date.

Your continued use of SPRL Services following the publication of an updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
