These API Terms of Use govern access to and use of SPRL APIs. They establish the responsibilities of API users, protect the security and reliability of our platform, and help ensure fair and responsible use of our developer services.
Overview
These API Terms of Use ("API Terms") govern your access to and use of the APIs, SDKs, developer tools, documentation, and related services provided by SPRL ("APIs").
By accessing or using any SPRL API, you agree to comply with these API Terms, our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, Security Policy, and all other applicable SPRL policies.
These API Terms are intended to promote secure, reliable, and responsible integrations while protecting the stability, performance, and integrity of the SPRL platform.
1. Scope
These API Terms apply to all developers, businesses, organisations, enterprise customers, and other users who access or integrate with SPRL APIs.
This includes all current and future APIs, developer tools, SDKs, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, and related technical resources provided by SPRL unless expressly governed by separate written terms.
2. API Eligibility
You must have a valid SPRL account to access APIs that require authentication.
Certain APIs or features may only be available to customers with eligible subscription plans, enterprise agreements, or sufficient wallet balance, depending on the applicable product and pricing model.
Access to specific APIs may also require identity verification, account approval, or additional security measures where appropriate.
3. API Credentials
Access to authenticated APIs requires valid API credentials issued by SPRL.
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your API keys, access tokens, and other authentication credentials.
You must not:
- share API credentials with unauthorised persons;
- embed credentials in publicly accessible applications or repositories;
- attempt to obtain or use another customer's credentials;
- circumvent authentication or access control mechanisms.
If you believe your API credentials have been compromised, you should immediately rotate or revoke the affected credentials and notify SPRL where appropriate.
4. Customer Responsibilities
When using SPRL APIs, you are responsible for ensuring that your applications, integrations, and systems operate securely and in compliance with applicable laws and these API Terms.
You agree to:
- protect API credentials from unauthorised access;
- validate requests before submitting them to SPRL APIs;
- handle API responses responsibly and securely;
- respect published API documentation and technical requirements;
- promptly address any security issues affecting your integrations.
5. Permitted Use
SPRL APIs are provided to enable authorised integrations with SPRL products and services. You may use the APIs only for legitimate business or personal purposes that comply with these API Terms, our Terms of Service, and applicable laws.
You must ensure that your applications and integrations interact with the APIs in a responsible manner and do not adversely affect the security, stability, or performance of SPRL Services.
6. Prohibited Use
You must not use SPRL APIs for any activity that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or intended to misuse the platform.
Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- violating applicable laws or regulations;
- attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or data;
- bypassing authentication, authorisation, or security controls;
- using APIs to distribute spam, malware, phishing content, or other prohibited material;
- interfering with the availability or performance of SPRL Services;
- using APIs in a manner that violates the Acceptable Use Policy or other SPRL policies;
- reselling or redistributing API access without written authorisation from SPRL.
7. Rate Limits and Fair Usage
To ensure the stability and reliability of our platform, SPRL may apply request limits, usage quotas, concurrency limits, or other technical controls to API access.
You agree to:
- comply with published API rate limits and usage restrictions;
- implement appropriate retry mechanisms where applicable;
- avoid excessive or unnecessary API requests;
- design integrations that minimise unnecessary load on SPRL infrastructure.
SPRL may temporarily throttle, restrict, or reject requests that exceed applicable limits or negatively affect platform performance.
8. Security Requirements
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your applications and integrations when accessing SPRL APIs.
You should:
- store API credentials securely;
- use secure communication channels when interacting with the APIs;
- validate all input and output within your applications;
- monitor your integrations for suspicious or unexpected activity;
- promptly rotate compromised API credentials where necessary.
Failure to maintain reasonable security practices may result in the suspension or restriction of API access where necessary to protect SPRL Services or other customers.
9. API Changes and Versioning
SPRL continuously improves its APIs and may introduce new features, modify existing functionality, release new API versions, or retire legacy functionality from time to time.
Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of material changes that may affect existing integrations.
Customers are responsible for maintaining compatible integrations and updating their applications as required to support supported API versions.
10. API Availability
SPRL strives to provide reliable and high-performance API services. However, we do not guarantee that APIs will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from delays.
API availability may be affected by scheduled maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, security measures, third-party service interruptions, network issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.
SPRL reserves the right to temporarily limit or suspend API availability where necessary to protect the stability, security, or integrity of the platform.
11. Monitoring and Compliance
SPRL may monitor API usage to maintain platform security, detect abuse, investigate operational issues, enforce these API Terms, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Monitoring may include reviewing request volumes, authentication activity, error patterns, usage behaviour, and other operational metrics relevant to the reliable operation of SPRL APIs.
Monitoring activities are conducted in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
12. Suspension and Revocation
SPRL may temporarily suspend, restrict, rotate, revoke, or permanently disable API credentials where reasonably necessary to protect our platform, customers, or legal interests.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- violations of these API Terms or other SPRL policies;
- suspected compromise of API credentials;
- security incidents or malicious activity;
- repeated abuse of API resources or rate limits;
- fraudulent or unlawful activity;
- failure to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
Where reasonably practicable, SPRL may provide notice before restricting API access. However, immediate action may be taken where necessary to protect the security or availability of SPRL Services.
13. Intellectual Property
All SPRL APIs, developer documentation, SDKs, sample code, technical specifications, trademarks, and related materials remain the intellectual property of SPRL or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
These API Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to access and use the APIs solely in accordance with these API Terms and the applicable documentation.
Except as permitted by applicable law or with SPRL's prior written consent, you must not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit SPRL's proprietary API resources.
14. Third-Party Integrations
SPRL APIs may be used to integrate with third-party applications, platforms, or services. You are responsible for ensuring that such integrations comply with applicable laws, third-party terms, and these API Terms.
SPRL is not responsible for the availability, security, functionality, or performance of third-party products or services that interact with our APIs.
Use of third-party services may be subject to additional terms and conditions imposed by those providers.
15. API Usage Fees
Certain APIs or API features may be subject to usage-based pricing, subscription plans, wallet deductions, or other commercial terms published by SPRL.
You are responsible for reviewing the applicable pricing before using chargeable APIs. Billing, payment, taxes, and refunds are governed by the SPRL Billing & Pricing Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
16. Disclaimer
SPRL APIs are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.
While we strive to provide reliable, secure, and well-documented APIs, SPRL does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every application, or that the APIs will always operate without errors, delays, or interruptions.
Customers are responsible for testing their integrations and ensuring they are suitable for their intended use.
17. Limitation of Liability
