The Acceptable Use Policy establishes the standards for responsible use of SPRL products and services. It helps protect our customers, platform, and the wider internet community by outlining prohibited activities, enforcement measures, and customer responsibilities.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") explains the standards and responsibilities that apply when using SPRL websites, applications, APIs, customer dashboards, communication services, and all other products and services provided by SPRL ("Services").

You are responsible for all activities performed through your SPRL account, including the use of shortened links, communication campaigns, forms, APIs, integrations, custom domains, and any other resources associated with your account.

When using SPRL Services, you agree to:

  • use the Services responsibly, ethically, and lawfully;
  • maintain the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and API keys;
  • ensure that your content, communications, and activities comply with applicable laws and regulations;
  • obtain any permissions, licences, or recipient consents required for your activities;
  • promptly report any suspected unauthorised access or security incident affecting your account;
  • cooperate with SPRL during abuse investigations or security reviews where reasonably requested.

3. Compliance with Laws

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of SPRL Services complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws, regulations, industry standards, and legally binding requirements.

This includes compliance with laws relating to privacy, consumer protection, intellectual property, electronic communications, advertising, marketing, cybersecurity, data protection, and any other legal obligations relevant to your activities.

SPRL does not provide legal advice and does not determine whether your intended use of the Services complies with the laws applicable to your jurisdiction or business.


4. General Acceptable Use Principles

SPRL Services must be used in a manner that respects the rights of others, protects the security and stability of our platform, and maintains the trust placed in our services by customers, partners, and the wider internet community.

Accordingly, you must not use SPRL Services to:

  • engage in unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful activities;
  • interfere with or disrupt the operation, security, or availability of SPRL Services;
  • misuse communication or marketing services;
  • damage the reputation or integrity of SPRL or its services;
  • attempt to bypass security controls, technical limitations, or enforcement measures implemented by SPRL.

Compliance with this Policy is a condition of continued access to SPRL Services. Failure to comply may result in enforcement actions, including the restriction, suspension, or termination of access to some or all SPRL Services.

 


5. Prohibited Activities

To protect our customers, partners, infrastructure, and the wider internet community, you must not use SPRL Services for any activity that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or that may negatively impact the security, reputation, or availability of our platform.

The following activities are strictly prohibited. This list is representative and not exhaustive.


6. Illegal and Fraudulent Activities

You must not use SPRL Services to engage in, promote, facilitate, or support any unlawful or fraudulent activity.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • violating applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or government requirements;
  • phishing, credential harvesting, or identity theft;
  • financial fraud, investment scams, or payment fraud;
  • deceptive advertising or misleading promotions;
  • creating fake websites or impersonating individuals, businesses, or government organisations;
  • distributing counterfeit products or facilitating illegal transactions;
  • operating fraudulent affiliate, referral, or commission schemes;
  • assisting or encouraging others to engage in unlawful activities.

7. Malicious Software and Cyber Abuse

SPRL Services must not be used to distribute, host, promote, or facilitate malicious software or cybersecurity attacks.

Prohibited activities include:

  • viruses, worms, ransomware, spyware, trojans, or other malicious software;
  • command-and-control infrastructure;
  • credential theft or malware delivery;
  • botnets or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks;
  • unauthorised access to systems or networks;
  • attempting to exploit vulnerabilities without authorisation;
  • hosting or distributing tools primarily intended for malicious purposes.

8. Spam and Unsolicited Communications

You must not use SPRL Services to send, distribute, or facilitate unsolicited or unwanted communications.

Examples include:

  • bulk unsolicited email (spam);
  • unsolicited SMS or messaging campaigns;
  • unsolicited WhatsApp communications;
  • mass messaging without recipient consent;
  • misleading subject lines or sender identities;
  • communications that intentionally conceal their origin or purpose.

9. Deceptive and Harmful Content

You must not create, publish, distribute, or promote content that is deceptive, harmful, or intended to mislead others.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • fake giveaways, lotteries, or prize scams;
  • investment or cryptocurrency fraud;
  • social engineering attacks;
  • fake technical support scams;
  • misleading redirects or hidden destinations;
  • content intended to deceive users into revealing confidential information.

10. Harmful, Offensive, and Illegal Content

SPRL Services must not be used to distribute, promote, or facilitate content that is unlawful or that presents a significant risk of harm to individuals or society.

Examples include:

  • content promoting violence or criminal activity;
  • terrorist or extremist content;
  • child sexual abuse or exploitation material;
  • human trafficking or exploitation;
  • illegal drugs or controlled substances where prohibited by law;
  • illegal weapons trading;
  • content that incites unlawful acts or serious harm.

Where required, SPRL may immediately disable access to such content and cooperate with relevant authorities.

 


11. Platform Abuse

You must not misuse, interfere with, or attempt to compromise the security, integrity, availability, or performance of SPRL Services.

Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • attempting to gain unauthorised access to any account, system, network, or data;
  • circumventing security controls, authentication mechanisms, or technical restrictions;
  • reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code except where permitted by applicable law;
  • interfering with or disrupting the normal operation of SPRL Services;
  • creating multiple accounts or using automated methods to bypass platform restrictions or usage limits;
  • conducting unauthorised vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, or security assessments against SPRL infrastructure;
  • using automated systems that negatively affect the performance or stability of SPRL Services.

12. URL Shortener Usage

SPRL URL Shortener Services are intended to create trusted, secure, and reliable links. You must not use shortened URLs to conceal or facilitate harmful, deceptive, or unlawful destinations.

Prohibited uses include:

  • links to phishing or credential harvesting websites;
  • malware, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious downloads;
  • fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading websites;
  • illegal products or services;
  • links designed to evade detection or bypass security systems;
  • repeatedly creating shortened links that violate this Policy.

SPRL reserves the right to disable, remove, or block shortened links that violate this Policy or present a risk to users, third parties, or the reputation of the SPRL platform.


13. Communication Services

Customers using Email Marketing, SMS Marketing, WhatsApp Business API, Forms, or other communication services must ensure that all communications are lawful, accurate, and sent responsibly.

You must:

  • obtain any legally required consent before sending communications;
  • honour unsubscribe or opt-out requests where applicable;
  • provide accurate sender identification;
  • comply with applicable marketing and electronic communication laws;
  • avoid deceptive, misleading, or abusive messaging practices.

SPRL may suspend communication services that generate excessive complaints, abuse reports, or other indicators of misuse.


14. Developer APIs

Customers using SPRL APIs must use them responsibly and in accordance with the published API documentation and technical requirements.

You must not:

  • share API credentials with unauthorised persons;
  • attempt to bypass API authentication or rate limits;
  • use APIs to overload or disrupt SPRL Services;
  • perform excessive automated requests that negatively affect platform performance;
  • use APIs for activities prohibited under this Policy.

SPRL may temporarily restrict, suspend, rotate, or revoke API credentials where necessary to protect the security, reliability, or integrity of the platform.


15. Intellectual Property

You must respect the intellectual property rights of SPRL and third parties.

You must not upload, publish, distribute, or promote content that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other proprietary rights without appropriate authorisation.

Where appropriate, SPRL may remove or restrict access to content that is alleged or determined to infringe the intellectual property rights of others.


16. Privacy and Personal Information

You must respect the privacy and legal rights of individuals whose information you collect, process, store, or transmit using SPRL Services.

You must not:

  • collect personal information unlawfully;
  • share confidential or personal information without appropriate authority;
  • misuse customer data or recipient information;
  • process personal information in violation of applicable privacy or data protection laws.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring that their use of SPRL Services complies with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.

 


17. Monitoring and Enforcement

To protect our customers, infrastructure, and the integrity of SPRL Services, we may monitor the use of our platform for operational, security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and legal compliance purposes, in accordance with applicable laws and our Privacy Policy.

Where we reasonably believe that this Policy, our Terms of Service, or applicable laws have been violated, SPRL may investigate the matter and take appropriate action to protect our platform and its users.


18. Enforcement Actions

Depending on the nature and severity of a violation, SPRL may take one or more of the following actions without prior notice where reasonably necessary:

  • issue a warning or request corrective action;
  • disable or remove shortened links, QR codes, forms, campaigns, or other content;
  • temporarily suspend specific products or services;
  • restrict or revoke API access;
  • suspend or terminate customer accounts;
  • block access from specific IP addresses, domains, or networks;
  • freeze or restrict access to platform features while an investigation is in progress;
  • report unlawful activities to competent law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required or appropriate.

SPRL reserves the right to determine the appropriate enforcement action based on the circumstances of each case.


19. Abuse Reporting

We encourage customers, security researchers, organisations, and members of the public to report suspected abuse involving SPRL Services.

Examples of reportable abuse include:

  • phishing websites;
  • malware distribution;
  • fraudulent or deceptive shortened links;
  • spam or unsolicited communications;
  • copyright infringement;
  • security vulnerabilities affecting SPRL Services;
  • other activities that may violate this Policy or applicable laws.

Reports should include sufficient information to help us investigate, such as the affected URL, screenshots, dates, supporting evidence, and a description of the suspected abuse.


20. Appeals

If you believe that enforcement action has been taken in error, you may contact SPRL to request a review.

When submitting an appeal, please provide all relevant information that supports your request. SPRL will review the available information and determine whether the original enforcement action should be upheld, modified, or reversed.

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee restoration of access or reversal of any enforcement action.


21. Policy Updates

SPRL may revise this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, services, technology, legal requirements, security practices, or business operations.

The latest version of this Policy will always be published on this page together with the effective date and last updated date.

Your continued use of SPRL Services after an updated Policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
