Update Short URL Slug

Getting Started

Authenticate using the Login API to obtain an access token. Include the returned Bearer Token in the Authorization header and provide a unique X-Device-ID with all authenticated requests. All requests must be made over HTTPS and are subject to rate limits.

POST /external/short-url/update-slug
Use the Update Short URL Slug API to change the keyword or slug of an existing short URL. This endpoint allows authenticated integrations to update the public short URL identifier while preserving the destination URL, analytics history, and associated link settings.

106 500 failed message Unexpected server error. Please try again later.

Notes:

  • The URL must belong to the authenticated SPRL account.
  • The new slug must be unique across the SPRL platform.
  • Only letters, numbers, hyphens and supported characters are allowed in custom slugs.
  • The same X-Device-ID used during login must be supplied.
  • Authentication is required for all requests to this endpoint.
  • URLs created through the SPRL Developer API may be protected from slug modifications.
  • Existing analytics and click history remain associated with the updated URL.
