How to Create a QR Code

Generate your first QR Code using SPRL.

Overview

SPRL makes it easy to create professional QR Codes for websites, marketing campaigns, business cards, product packaging, forms, and more. You can generate both Static and Dynamic QR Codes, customize their appearance, and download them in multiple image formats.

With built-in branding and customization options, you can create QR Codes that match your business identity while remaining easy to scan.

Good to Know:
For maximum flexibility, use a Dynamic QR Code. It allows you to update the destination later without reprinting the QR Code.

Before You Begin

Before creating your QR Code, prepare the following:

  • The destination URL or content you want users to access.
  • Your company logo (optional).
  • Your preferred colours and branding.
  • A short label or call-to-action (optional).

  1. Sign in to your SPRL account.
  2. Navigate to Dashboard → QR Code Generator.
  3. Select whether you want to create a Static or Dynamic QR Code.
  4. Enter the destination URL or other supported content.
  5. Customize the appearance of your QR Code.
  6. Click Save & Preview.

Preview Before Downloading

Always preview your QR Code before downloading to ensure:

  • The destination opens correctly.
  • Your logo doesn't interfere with scanning.
  • The colours provide sufficient contrast.
  • The label is readable.
  • The selected size is appropriate for its intended use.

Best Practices

  • Use Dynamic QR Codes for marketing campaigns.
  • Choose high-contrast colours for better scan reliability.
  • Avoid making the logo too large.
  • Test the QR Code using multiple devices before publishing.
  • Select a high-resolution output for printed materials.
  • Include a clear call-to-action near the QR Code.

Troubleshooting

My QR Code doesn't scan

Ensure the QR Code has enough contrast, the logo isn't covering too much of the pattern, and the destination URL is valid.

The colours look good but scanning is unreliable

Very light colours or low contrast can make QR Codes difficult to scan. Dark patterns on a light background generally provide the best results.

My printed QR Code is blurry

Download a larger image size before printing and avoid stretching low-resolution images.
