Overview
Temporary Links allow you to control how long a short URL remains active. Instead of keeping a link permanently available, you can automatically expire it based on time, click limits, inactivity, or password-protected access.
This feature is ideal for limited-time promotions, event registrations, confidential documents, one-time downloads, seasonal campaigns, and other situations where access should automatically end without manual intervention.
Good to Know:
Temporary Links can be combined with password protection, branded domains, QR Codes, custom domains, and analytics for greater security and control.
Expiration Options
SPRL supports multiple ways to automatically expire a short URL.
| Expiration Type | Description |
| Date & Time | Automatically disable the link after a specific date and time. |
| Click Limit | Expire the link after it has received the specified number of clicks. |
| Inactivity | Automatically expire the link if it is not accessed for a configured number of days. |
How to Create a Temporary Link
- Navigate to Dashboard → URL Shortener.
- Enter the destination URL.
- Open the Temporary Link settings.
- Select the expiration method.
- Configure the required values such as date, click limit, or inactivity period.
- Optionally enable password protection.
