Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Protect your account with an additional security layer.

Overview

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your SPRL account. In addition to your password, you'll be required to enter a verification code during sign-in, making it much harder for unauthorised users to access your account.

Even if someone discovers your password, they won't be able to sign in without the second authentication factor.

Good to Know:
Two-Factor Authentication is optional but strongly recommended for all SPRL accounts, especially if you use APIs, manage marketing campaigns, or maintain a wallet balance.

Benefits of Two-Factor Authentication

  • Provides an additional layer of account security.
  • Helps protect your account if your password is compromised.
  • Reduces the risk of unauthorised account access.
  • Protects your account settings, products, wallet, and API Keys.
  • Improves overall account security for both personal and business use.

How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication

  1. Sign in to your SPRL account.
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Select My Account or Account Settings.
  4. Open the Security section.
  5. Locate the Two-Factor Authentication option.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
  7. Confirm the verification step if prompted.
  8. Save your changes.

What Happens During Sign-In?

After Two-Factor Authentication has been enabled:

  1. Enter your email address and password.
  2. Complete the second verification step.
  3. Once verified, you'll be granted access to your SPRL account.

This additional verification helps ensure that only authorised users can sign in.

When Should You Enable 2FA?

We recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication if you:

  • Use your account for business purposes.
  • Store API Keys or use API integrations.
  • Manage marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain a wallet balance.
  • Access your account from multiple devices.
  • Want additional protection against unauthorised access.

Managing Two-Factor Authentication

Once enabled, you can return to the Security section of your account settings to manage your Two-Factor Authentication preferences, where available.

If you no longer wish to use Two-Factor Authentication, you can disable it from the same section after completing the required verification steps.

Security Best Practices

  • Use a strong and unique password.
  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
  • Never share your verification codes.
  • Keep your email account secure, as it may be used for account recovery.
  • Review your recent login sessions regularly.
  • Protect your API Keys and regenerate them if you suspect they have been exposed.

Best Practices

  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication immediately after creating your account.
  • Keep your recovery information up to date.
  • Only sign in from trusted devices.
  • Sign out after using shared or public computers.
  • Monitor your account for unfamiliar login activity.

Troubleshooting

If your authentication method is linked to your previous device, you may need to complete the account recovery process or contact SPRL Support before enabling Two-Factor Authentication again.

I accidentally disabled Two-Factor Authentication

You can return to the Security section of your account settings and enable it again at any time.
