Overview
Creating an SMS campaign in SPRL is quick and straightforward. You can send SMS messages to manually entered mobile numbers or Contact Groups using approved DLT Sender IDs and Templates. The platform also supports campaign scheduling, URL shortening, personalization variables, Flash SMS, and campaign tracking.
Before creating a campaign, ensure your business has completed DLT registration, your Sender ID is approved, your SMS template is approved, and you have sufficient SMS credits.
Good to Know:
SMS campaigns can only be sent using approved DLT Sender IDs (Headers) and approved DLT Templates. Campaigns are available for Indian mobile numbers only.
Open the Campaign Composer
- Navigate to Dashboard → Campaigns.
- Click Create Campaign.
- The Compose New SMS window will open.
Campaign Information
Begin by entering the basic campaign details.

| Message Type | Select Promotional or Transactional SMS. |
| Sender ID | Select one of your approved DLT Sender IDs. |
| Flash SMS | Enable Flash SMS if required. |
Select Recipients
Choose how recipients will be added to the campaign.

The campaign composer automatically displays the total number of recipients added.
Compose Your Message
Create your SMS using an approved DLT template.

| Message Content | Enter or update the message according to the approved template. |
| Character Counter | View the total characters and estimated SMS count. |
Add Personalization Variables
If your approved template contains variables, they can be populated with customer-specific values during campaign creation.
For example:
Dear [~var~], your order has been successfully dispatched.
Variable values should match the placeholders defined in your approved DLT template.
Add Shortened Links
SPRL allows you to include shortened URLs within your SMS campaign.

Schedule Your Campaign
You can send the campaign immediately or schedule it for a later date and time.
- Select the campaign date.
- Select the campaign time.
- Accept the Terms & Conditions.
- Choose either Send SMS or Schedule.

Troubleshooting
I cannot select a Sender ID
Only approved DLT Sender IDs are available when creating SMS campaigns.
I cannot choose a template
Verify that your DLT template has been approved and is available under Dashboard → Master → Templates.
My SMS cannot be sent
Ensure you have sufficient SMS credits, have accepted the Terms & Conditions, and all mandatory fields have been completed.
Why is the Schedule button unavailable?
Confirm that both the campaign date and time have been selected before scheduling.
